Answer to question 1: Why are values in decline?
As can be seen from the chart, feminism and masculinism, as they are
intensified, tend to accumulate values which increase in importance. This is
because, as an ideology develops, it will be seen that many questions lead to
the same solution. The more that do, the more important the solution. So
that, a masculinist solution, keeping the Lord's day, for instance, solves many
problems: it provides a day for worship, and a day for rest, and a day to
relax the rules of status. Or, a feminist solution, the establishment of
special relationships, solves many problems, it reduces conflict by
establishing sexual commitments, it provides a method for providing care for
children, it provides for responsibility for care of elders. So, when we move
towards secularism, we reduce the significance of feminism and masculinism and
therefore the values associated with them.
