Love of self (narcissism).
Love of country (chauvinism, Sinn Fein).
Love of humanity (Mother Theresa, Genesis:"I give you
dominion...")
Love of God (religion).
Love of one's sex (masculinism/feminism).
Love of family (The Godfather).
Love of erotic sex (Nymphomania).
Love of cocaine (Prostitution).
Love of money (Wall Street).
Love of power (Clinton).
Love of work (You and me).
Love of food (fat folks).
Love of children (Children's Defense Fund).
Love of the past (conservatism).
Love of the future (liberalism).
Hatred is self love.
Love is the sense of being attracted to something. It is the
subjective equivalent of gravity. The further you are from the object
of attraction the more intense the sense of attraction. That is to say
that, unlike gravity there is an inverse relationship between the
power of the attraction and the distance (subjective or objective) of
separation.
We need to stop loving so much and ignore those admonishing us
to love what they love. Misery loves company.
Separation causes love. We need to stop the forces of separation
(discrimination).
Like your spouse, that's enough.
