Why should I believe this chart?

Because it identifies a spectrum, whose organization is similar to or identical with all other spectra. The universe is made up of spectra: you can assure yourself of the veracity of this statement by observing various spectra, e.g. light, sound, density, scale, left/right, up/down, dark/light, night/day, fat/slim, tall/short, etc. and by noticing that adverbs and adjectives are words that place an entity on some spectrum or another, while nouns and verbs identify spectra. For instance, the leaves of the world lie on various spectra; the size spectrum, the shape spectrum, the color spectrum, etc. There are an infinite number of possibilities on each spectrum and, presumably in all of time every possibility will be tried. This is equally true of psychological phenomena. Humans fall on and move along various psychological spectra besides the ideological one. From not paranoid to very paranoid, from dour to gregarious, from insensitive to very feeling, etc.
This is one spectrum among many that make up the psychology of humans. But, most psychological spectra don't have physical manifestations, while this one is discernible in the physical make up of individuals. So this will lead us to suspect that this spectrum is more basic than others and exists before people do. When you go on to relate it to creativity and therefore creation, one gets the feeling that this particular spectrum is basic indeed. That is to say that people seem to be fitted into this spectrum instead of discovering and expanding the spectrum as a part of the development process of the psyche.
